in natty there was kpackagekit. id like to have it in oneiric also so
i do
sudo apt-get install kpackagekit

thanks to the info from daniel, i learned now that apper=kpackagekit. but seriously there is no way one could conclude that from the errormessage
"kpackagekit : Depends: apper but it is not going to be installed"
it would be great if apt-get could give a more helpful message.
