I had a look at your patch. The fix should be right, however the format
is not correct - see <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToFix> for a
quick, hands-on guide about working on a fix and getting it accepted.
Basically, you will need to check out the code for the "app-install-
data-ubuntu" package, work on it, add a changelog message, push the code
back to Launchpad and then linking your branch to this bug report.

As this bug report is a duplicate of bug #886680, I'm closing it -
please continue the discussion there.

Thank you very much for your input!

Dia fails to install from the Software Center: There isn't a software package called "dia-gnome-gnome" in your current software sources

Title:
dia-gnome package is in database as dia-gnome-gnome

Status in “app-install-data-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Release: 11.10
  Version 5.0.2

When you search for the dia package on the software center, you see
the dia package as raw, and the dia description separately

This is because the database entry points the description to the dia-
gnome-gnome package, instead of doing it to dia-gnome

  Basically, a mispell :)

  Regards!
