Hello,

The Cairo-Dock team proposes a new nano version of its Cairo-Dock Plug-Ins package.
ChangeLog:
   - Desklet-rendering - viewport: fixed a crash when the desklet is empty
   - Status-Notifier: patch to work around strange bugs
      in the Ubuntu's indicator-application
   - Switcher: fixed a crash in expanded+desklet mode, a wrong loading
of the icons and a small drawing bug with the non-compact view.
   - GMenu: look for *-applications.menu file in the xdg path
(if common file names are not found, e.g. with KDE env in Oneiric)

This version fixes two possible crashes and two bugs due to recent
'changes' in other Ubuntu packages.

Please upload this version to oneiric-proposed too.

[Impact] - [Test Case]
 * if we use the switcher applet in a desklet mode without the compact view, it crashes
 * if we use an empty desklet (e.g. if cairo-dock is launched before other apps at startup (rare) or if the users has manually changed a few parameters to use empty directory or a tiny desklet or something else: http://www.glx-dock.org/bg_topic.php?t=5669 ), it crashes
 * With a few Qt apps (Skype, VLC, etc.), there is a no icon in the notification area plug-in if the Ubuntu's watcher (indicator-application) is used. (annoying to control these apps)
 * Application Menu applet doesn't work with the new version of KDE because it uses this file '/etc/xdg/menus/kde4-applications.menu' instead of '/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu'. (annoying to launch other apps)
The impact is not big but it's annoying if the application doesn't start.

[Development Fix]
These bugs have been reported on our forum (http://forum.glx-dock.org), confirmed, fixed and the fix has been confirmed. This version is also available on our 'Stable' ppa.

[Stable Fix]
The changes are also available there: lp:cairo-dock-plug-ins/2.4

[Regression Potential]
The potential regression, if any, only concerns people who had the crash (only if they use a few specific options)

This bzr branch has been linked to this bug report: lp:~cairo-dock-team/ubuntu/oneiric/cairo-dock-plug-ins/2.4.0-2.1
This branch should be ready to be pushed on lp:ubuntu/cairo-dock-plug-ins (except the UNRELEASED version in debian/changelog)

Thank you for your help! :)

** Affects: cairo-dock-plugins (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
