Title:
Xubuntu-docs for lucid are out-dated
Status in “xubuntu-docs” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Status in “xubuntu-docs” source package in Lucid:
In Progress
Bug description:
Binary package hint: xubuntu-docs
TEST CASE:
Xubuntu-docs have been outdated for quite some time, and currently to not provide adequate instruction on how to perform various tasks in Xubuntu 10.04. I have made many corrections/changes for the Natty version of xubuntu-docs that are relevant to the Lucid version (9.10.1). These changes update some instructions and references of default programs installed in Xubuntu 10.04.
In a conversation with the Technical Board,
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/technical-
board/2010-December/000610.html, it was stated that I could address
several bugs in xubuntu-docs through a single bug report, and this is
my attempt to do so. The updated changelog,
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-doc/xubuntu-
docs/lucid/view/head:/debian/changelog, lists all of the bugs that
have been fixed by the following changes. The fixed bugs can also be
found here, lp:xubuntu-docs/lucid.
All of the changes to xubuntu-docs have been committed to bazaar,
starting with revision 206, http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-
doc/xubuntu-docs/lucid/revision/206, through revision 277,
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-doc/xubuntu-
docs/lucid/revision/277. Since the changes have been committed to
bazaar, I'm sure if I need to attach a patch, but I will do so per
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure.
I don't believe there would be an regression in xubuntu-docs with the
implementation of these changes.
