Spinning new bug off LP #121096 (as suggested by Canonical), to address
Suspend issue on Lanai (1420) using nvidia driver. Suspend does not work
with latest nvidia driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.11-pkg1.run. Here's my
last comment from bug #121096:
I installed the latest NVIDIA driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.11-pkg1.run
on a Dell 1420n (Lanai) system. I had to add DISABLED_MODULES="nv
nvidia_new" in /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common for the
display to work. I also tried the instructions in
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaLaptopBinaryDriverSuspend but
Suspend still does not work. Hibernate works ok.
Also:
See LP #121163 for Suspend with nv driver (Suspend doesn't work).
See LP #121801 for Suspend with vesa driver (Suspend doesn't work).
** Affects: dell
Importance: High
Status: Fix Released
** Affects: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Fix Released
