Title:
  PyPE package does not byte compile in a clean chroot

Status in “pype” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “pype” package in Debian:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pype

  pype doesn't bytecompile its Python modules. In a clean chroot:

  $ ls -l /usr/share/pype/pype.{py,pyc}
  ls: cannot access /usr/share/pype/pype.pyc: No such file or directory
  -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 238333 Dec 29  2009 /usr/share/pype/pype.py

  This is because of missing dependency on python-support.

  This has already been fixed in Debian.
  Please sync version 2.9.1-3 from debian main unstable.
