* the COPYING file isn't the vanilla one, please take the one from /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-3 and don't modify it
* debian/control:
  -> you should make the binary packages depends on compiz-core, compiz-core-abiversion-${coreabiversion},
(see lp:~ubuntu-desktop/unity/ubuntu as an example) to ensure ABI breakage handling
* debian/compat says you depend on debhelper 8 but debian/control dep on debhelper 7, pick one (7 should be enough) :)

Otherwise, all looks good :) just make a tarball with the fix COPYING +
import in the packaging branch and I think we can upload it to natty.
