Description: rule-based device node and kernel event manager
udev is a collection of tools and a daemon to manage events received from
the kernel and deal with them in user-space. Primarily this involves
creating and removing device nodes in /dev when hardware is discovered or
 removed from the system.
-------------------------------------------------

I make an installation from the 'alternate dailly' on with lvm
partitions. The root directory is: /dev/mapper/vaio-root

at startup I have a list of error:
------------------------------------------------

Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
 - Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
   - Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
   - Check root= (did the system wait for the right devive?)
 - Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! /dev/mapper/vaio-root does not exist. Drpping to a shell!
------------------------------------------------

/dev/mapper/ is empty !

lvm2 is not active at boot

Title:
  udev missing input_id in initramfs

Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
During boot a large number of /lib/udev/input_id errors are emitted.
