Title:
  "Proxy" tab feature removed

Status in Transmission:
  Invalid
Status in “transmission” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: transmission

In Transmission v2.12 the developers made a decision to remove the proxy tab, stating it is bloated and does not function correctly. I agree it does not do exactly what the name would imply. But it does work ( for Trackers) and should not be removed until a new solution is ready. I think a better solution would be to rename the tab to "Tracker Proxy". Please bring the tab back with a new name and I will close this bug report. Until then I am holding at version 2.11 as are many others. This will become more evident when the newer version reaches the main Ubuntu population.
This is a duplication of a bug filed on transmissions site under Trac, Bug #3922, but that was closed as invalid, but I assure you that removing an existing functioning feature from a program is not an invalid bug. Simply renaming the tab should satisfy the developers and then many that want this feature to remain.
