Note that your patch can't be included in Debian because it doesn't
support the current vte in there; I suspect by the time my patch gets
included, Debian will have moved to a new vte and your patch will be
more relevant

Could you send it there?

Bug description:
http://people.ubuntuwire.org/~lucas/ubuntu-nbs/32/cdebconf-terminal_0.8_lubuntu32.buildlog shows that cdebconf-terminal fails to build with current version of libvte-dev package.

I looked at it and with some code from sjterm-terminal I got it to build. Did not tested does it work as I do not know where it is used.
