You have been subscribed to a public bug by Lorenzo De Liso (blackz):

Explanation of the Ubuntu change and why it can be dropped:

the only change in the Ubuntu package, "Fix output of odbc_config
--header, per Fedora bug #518623. This error results in SQLBIGINT and
SQLUBIGINT being misdefined as int, where they need to be [unsigned]
long or long long. LP: #620428." can be dropped because it has been
applied in the latest Debian package.

Changelog entries since current natty version 2.2.14p2-1ubuntu1:

unixodbc (2.2.14p2-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Apply patch from
    http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/unixODBC/odbcint64-config.patch
    to ensure we get the necessary (U)ODBCINST64 defines. Thanks to
    Matthias Klose for the pointer. Closes: #582591, LP: #620428.
