I agree that swig2.0 should supersede this merge request; it's evident
that the Debian maintainer decided to rename the source package, and
that the experimental package listed here is essentially a dead branch.
As such, I'm unsubscribing ubuntu-sponsors from this bug and retitling
it.

Dropping swig1.3 is a bit complicated though.  Here are its reverse-

So this is a really pretty large exercise.  My feeling is that it would
be simplest and best to do the bulk of this transition work in Debian
after squeeze releases, and for packages which need swig2.0 to build-
depend on it explicitly.  Does this make sense?
