I'm very happy for this decision.

Before to investigate through this problem, I've bought a new hdd for
security reason (backup all data), but for now, after 3 months, the
numbers of reallocated sectors is stable and haven't increased.

This patch could will save unneeded e-waste

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

palimpsest complains, that the disk has many bad sectors. palimpsest thinks, that SMART value 5 "Reallocated Sector Count" fails (screenshot attached). smartctl reports " 5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct 0x0033 097 097 010 Pre-fail Always - 117" (full log attached) which seems to be ok. This error appears on a different system, too.
