1) This has been fixed with the following:
  * debian/post{inst,rm}:
    - Invoke adduser to create a system user/group (Closes: #487966).
2) I don't know why xml-parser-dev has been included in B-D, it's not needed.
3) python-gnome2 is not required, python-gconf and the other Python dependencies are indeed needed.

    - Add gnome-doc-utils, python-gtk2-dev and rarian-compat to B-D.
    - Depend on pessulus, upstream no longer ship embedded copy of it.
  * debian/copyright:
    - Adjust copyright holders.
  * debian/manpages:
    - Install upstream manpages.
  * debian/post{inst,rm}:
    - Invoke adduser to create a system user/group (Closes: #487966).
    - Move profiles to new locations.
