The patch has been included by the upstream author.

Bhavani, 
I noticed that the ubuntu package uses dh7 and source format 3.0, while the debian package uses cdbs and source format 1.0.  I would hate to see the hard work put in to switch the package to dh7 and source format 3.0 to be wasted, could we possible send a diff to the debian maintainer, nudging him/her to make the switch to dh7 and source format 3.0?

we can sync the package as debian has released a new upstream version

  * New upstream release.
  * Correct json parser with new Google API (Closes: #587356). 
  * Bump Standars-Version to 3.9.0, no changes required.
