Bug description:
Please sync qt-assistant-compat 4.6.3-1 (universe) from Debian experimental (main)
Ubuntu is using a new (beta) version of qt that does not have the
"old" qt-assistant library. Debian is using a version of qt that does.
Many Debian packages still use the old
library, even though it has been depricated (and removed). Packages are segfaulting
and FTBFSing because of the missing library. This package was released by the qt
devels to be a compatabillity layer until upstream projects switch to the new
qt-assistant framework.
Unfortunately, patching upstream code to change to the new system isn't straight
forward, so using this package will help with the transition.
Please reject if this is the wrong way of doing things.
At least 5 packages FTBFS from this on http://udd.debian.org/cgi-bin/ubuntu_ftbfs.cgi
that can be fixed by placing the -dev of this package as a build-depends
All changelog entries:
qt-assistant-compat (4.6.3-1) experimental; urgency=low
* Initial release. (Closes: #587488)
