This fixes FTBFS in natty in total there were 3 issues.

- Added X11 to libs
- Make subdir makes fail the build
- Use memcpy instead of strcpy, fixes FTBFS with FORTIFY (LP: #688730),
   patch from openSUSE same license as the package
