I subscribed Ubuntu sponsors...and there's no debdiff because this is
just a rebuild, I guess.

Status in “ugene” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ugene

When I start ugene I get:

/usr/lib/ugene/ugene: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/ugene/libcore.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN9QHashData13detach_helperEPFvPNS_4NodeEPvEPFvS1_Ei

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
Package: ugene 1.5.2+repack-0ubuntu1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-14.20-generic
Uname: Linux 2.6.32-14-generic x86_64
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
Architecture: amd64
Date: Sun Apr 18 22:52:56 2010
InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha amd64 (20100224.1)
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=ru_RU.utf8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: ugene

Update (information for SRU):

This bug makes the whole package totally unusable, since the program can't even start.
TEST CASE: simply start the ugene executable. It will fail with symbol lookup error.

No patch is required since this is a build process issue. Simple rebuild of the package with the current Qt version will fix the bug.
The bug is caused by building the package with Qt 4.6.0beta1 and using it with stable Qt 4.6.2
