The only reason is an improved package...

It seems that the Debian maintainers abandoned this package (3.10.0 vs
3.13.1 in Ubuntu and 3.13.4 in upstream [1]) so I submit my changes
and fixes to Ubuntu.

I'm not talking about submit these changes to Maverick.... I don't
care if will be included in Ubuntu 11.04 or future releases.
