Is there any chance to get this patch into Lucid? The realtime button in
qjackctl having no effect at all seems like it's going to confuse a lot

qjackctl (0.3.4-0ubuntu4) lucid; urgency=low
* Comply with jackd >= 0.118.0 which now runs in real-time mode by
default, cherrypicked from upstream. Update debian/control to
require jackd >= 0.118.
If this patch is not applied, qjackctl will fail to start jackd in non real-time mode.
