There's a lot of stuff in my head that we can do, but to make it happen, we cannot do it alone. Certainly, thanks to the thing called "LIFE" allocating specific people to certain task is not very practical as well.. </div>

system and what <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font>

</b>Richard Stallman famously said, "<i>If you want to accomplish
something in the world, idealism is not enough - you need to
choose a method that works to achieve the goal. In other words,
you need to be pragmatic.</i>"<br>

Indeed, let's act on our convictions, and do so in a manner that
amplifies every person's contributions.<br>
<br>
The time we're in right now is full of opportunities - both for <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font> and for <b>all</b> of us.
Let's seize the day - <b>today</b>!<br>
<br>
As a start, do allow me to draft out possible things we can do,
sorted by three levels of effort (or ambition):<br>
<br>
<b>Minimal (aka Essential)<br>
</b>- Update existing Ubuntu SG Team platforms: Wiki, Launchpad<br>
- Create and maintain an Ubuntu SG Facebook and Twitter account
(with links to <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font> news,
tutorials, etc)<br>
- Change the <a href="http://ubuntu.sg" target="_blank">ubuntu.sg</a> page to at least a branded landing page with
links to the Wiki and other resources<br>
<br>
<b>Moderate<br>
</b>- Organise (or create resources to support organising of) Ubuntu
SG events (like Ubuntu install sessions, demos in schools, etc)<br>
- Create tutorials and guides on migrating to Ubuntu for Windows/Mac
users<br>
- Start printing Ubuntu SG tees and other merchandise again
(possibly raise funds for <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font>
events or charities)<br>
- Allow blog contributions from members on the <a href="http://ubuntu.sg" target="_blank">ubuntu.sg</a><br>
- 13.04 launch party/marketing campaign?<br>
<br>
<b>Massive</b><br>
- Whatever wacky ideas you can think of.. Here are some of mine (not
that wacky, I admit):<br>
- Haggling Sim Lim/Funan shops or even Dell in Singapore to offer <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font> pre-installed to <b>consumers</b><br>
- Bigger marketing push for 13.04, e.g. roadshows, seminars on FOSS,
etc<br>
- Creating video profiles of people in SG using <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font> for real work (e.g.
scientists, business folk, artists, etc)<br>
<br>
The list is by no means definitive nor even correct. Do throw in
your comments and criticism. And do propose if there is a better
platform for converging on specific actionable items (Trello? Google
Groups?) - the sooner the better!<br>
<br>
I look forward to getting to know, working with, and learning from
all of you as we champion <font color="#cc0000"><b>Ubuntu</b></font>
on the little red dot!<br>
