Does Singapore Linux meetup group have a mailing list, I saw there before I came here.

Check out the Singapore Linux meetup group there are over 900 Linux enthusiasts there.  You can post your job there.  We used to have a lot of meeting every month but after SMU stopped allowing us to use their venue, things kind of died down.

Other from that I do not see a complete shortage of Linux engineers.  Many of them are doing their own businesses or very picky about what they do.

Anyway we are doing an event on Dec 4 on OpenStack networking.

Hi Ben ,

Can I check from the job description below , you guys are into rendering? Forgive me if I am wrong but I believe 3DS MAX is easier for Modelling and Maya is for rendering? And since you mentioned you have about 700 servers and Maya , I am assuming that is a render farm for Maya?

"You will also provide support on applications, including email and servers, production software including the Microsoft Office suite, Maya, Nuke and Houdini."

Ya know, I don't really see a shortage of Linux people in Singapore these days.
Or maybe it's because I hang around HackerspaceSG where every other member has a
server running Linux somewhere.

Anyway, welcome to Singapore, Ben. Do drop by http://hackerspace.sg sometime.
It's a cool place. :)
