FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (24 February 2013, SINGAPORE)
The core members of the Team Ubuntu Singapore (http://www.ubuntu.sg/) met
up today to discuss, brainstorm and craft out the direction for the Ubuntu
user community in Singapore.

http://www.hackerspace.sg/) member Preetam Rai.

... In line with the prestigious launch of the Ubuntu Touch and Ubuntu for
Mobile software platforms, the members made a resolution to introduce the
multi-faceted Operating System to Singapore in 2013. Online awareness
efforts planned include active Facebook postings, polls and events.

Interested persons are welcome to join the TUSG Facebook Group (
https://www.facebook.com/groups/ubuntu.sg) and learn more about the freedom
of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Ubuntu in particular. For
enquiries, please leave a comment in the Facebook Group or send an email to
our mailing list at ubuntu-sg at lists.ubuntu.com.

Mailing list will continue to be main form of communication , it is in sub
domain of ubuntu.com so if we are to apply for Approved Team status , this
is one place they will look for activity , along with Launchpad , wiki and
IRC. We are just trying to expand our reach. Also , hardwarezone forums as
well. If you have any other suggestions or are currently active at
facebook/hardwarezone or any other forums , pls let us know.
