For now, the only items I can recall are: - Ubuntu CDs I can buy some empty CD-Rs and burn them, but they're not the same as getting the printed editions from Canonical. Do you know where we can get those, and how many on average we need each year? AFAIK Canonical has discontinued ShipIt, which means that we cannot get them directly from Canonical since we're not a confirmed loco team. - Monitors I recall having around two monitors each year, with a laptop each to display things on them. I don't have any. - Ethernet cable I have three I can bring. - Laptops I have two I can bring, though I'd prefer not to lug both around. - Ethernet switch/router/wireless accesspoint I don't have any of these. If anyone has a spare, please bring them. - Power splitter/extension cord I have a 1 → 4 splitter with a 3m cable. We may need more, and possibly daisy-chain them, depending on how many appliances we'll be running. -- Kind regards, Loong Jin -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... As we all know, our LoCo team is not an approved LoCo team and it seems as though that the number of people who actually replies to the mailing list is around 10. With the SFDS around the corner, I suggest that we discuss the future of the LoCo team and what we plan to do with it. And work towards being an approved LoCo team so that we can obtain support from Cannonical with regards to organizing events easier. Why not we all come up with ideas to how to get this going and we'll see what works best with the limited resources that we have? If it is possible, I may be able to send it to Loong Jin or Rykel the day before so that you guys can bring it down instead. If need be, I can loan out my monitor, extension cable, my TP-Link Router with Wireless 3G(dongle not included).
