Hello Mark,

Here's what I did.

1. Make sure that there are no references to your desired network
interface in /etc/network/interfaces. If there is one, comment it out,
and restart your system.

2. Go to System > Preferences > Network Connections. Add a new network
connection. Use the "Wireless" tab if that is your interface type.

3. Under the "IPv4 Settings" tab, the pull down menu allows you to
choose "Automatic (DHCP) addresses only". Choose that, and then fill in
your desired name servers.

4. Once you save & exit, this network connection should now be available
under Network Manager (on my system, it is a globe icon on the top tool
bar).

FWIW, I also have Starhub, and my network performance has out right
sucked for the last couple of months. I've tried lots of things, but
nothing worked. I've concluded that it is a network performance issue
over which I cannot gain traction. I'll not convince my financial
manager (i. e., wife) to change providers, so I'm learning to live with
it for the time being.

Good luck!
David
