[Ubuntu-SG] Installation of the Webcam

The webcam doesnt work out of the box. What I had to do was to download the
UVC Drivers from here [1] and download the tar.gz [2]file.

Extract the contents into desktop, and open up the terminal.

hit the following commands in terminal.

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
cd Desktop
cd uvcvideo-1b4c7a6b9d26
make
make install

 

to test whether your webcam works, feel free to download cheese webcam booth
from synaptics manager.
