I have copied our production site to sandbox.ubuntu.sg. I ask that no
one modify the sandbox site while I use it to try out some of the
functionality I would like to add to our production site. Basically, I
want to add a WYSIWYG editor module and more powerful anti-spam
measures. As well, the project management module I have found is pretty
beta, so we should check it out before adding it to the production site.
As I get things set up, I will request everyone's help to test. Your id
and password will be the same as they are currently on the production
site. Note that from this point in time, the production site and sandbox
sites' contents will diverge as new content is added to the production
BTW, I learned something useful about Filezilla, if anyone is using that
for ftp access to our sites. By default, it does not show hidden files.
It seems to work if one selects the option "Force showing hidden files"
from the "Server" menu. You will get a warning message from Filezilla
about this option, but so far it seems to work OK for me.
I noticed the problem because, at first, I could not get the
sandbox.ubuntu.sg site to work. It returned 404 errors for all pages
except the home page. This was the result of Filezilla refusing to copy
the .htaccess file that it could not "see".
