Hi John,
I found this
http://beranger.org/v3/wordpress/2009/05/04/jaunty-kernel-2630-fixes-the-intel-video/
So may just reinstall the desktop kernel or reinstall a new minimal
gnome and go for the 2.6.30 kernel and fix the hibernate problem.
This whole thing has made me realize that the whole xorg thing is messed
up with intel, nvidia just ripping stuff in and out of the xorg code.
It is supposedly a complete mess.
Heard that they are refactoring it but not able to find much information
about it.
