[Ubuntu-SG] No wired network at SFDS08

Hello all,

I just got word that there really is no wired network at SMU-SIS. The good
news is that we have 50 wireless accounts to go around and Whay-Wang of
Mucro Asia is bringing more laptops in the morning. These laptops will have
a 50 GB Ubuntu install, the rest of the drive being free for whatever else
we need or want to install.

I am afraid that I am going to have to keep my laptop tomorrow. I need at
least one decent machine to deal with the Help Desk activities. If I had a
wired network, my older machines would be fine. II'm sorry about that. I
will have Ubuntu on it (of course) but I'll probably not get time to do a
lot of demos or installs with it since I'll be using it to help run the
event.

A general message is going out to all Es & Ps soon, so it will be redundant
for TUSG.

Cheers
CDR
