Hello all,

I'm just wondering, how come the Singapore Ubuntu Mailing list is quiet?
Are there any efforts to promote Ubuntu usage within Singapore, or is it
Singaporeans are happy with Microsoft WIndows Vista?

I would like to hold a discussion about the monopolistic trade policy of
Microsoft within Singapore. Everywhere I go, in every department stores
that sell PCs or laptops, they always come with Microsoft Windows
pre-installed. Is there any way for the buyer to be able to choose the
operating system they want other than Windows?

I read on the Internet that the Singapore government, especially Mindef
is using OpenOffice as a standard productivity suite. I'm sure, besides
adopting OpenOffice, they might be interested with using a GNU/Linux
system, which is customizable and provides and open auditing of source
code for security checks.

Are there anyone interested to see a change in the adoption of Open
Source Software in Singapore?

Thank you and best regards,
supervivid
