Greetings All,

Have been lurking on this mailing list for a few months now, but with the
release of Feisty coming soon, I figured it would be best for me to make a
formal introduction.

Been using Ubuntu from the Breezy days, but only mainly started using it as
my main OS since Dapper. I run it on a DIY desktop machine with dual-boot to
WinXP as I still need my games and the synchronization modules for the
SplashSuite series of programs that I use on my Palm OS device. Also too
much in love with Winamp and the easy integration it has with my iPod and my
networked harddrive.

As for the release of Feisty beta, I am itching to upgrade to it and test it
out, but I'm quite wary of messing with all my little tweaks and hacks,
especially of those to my xorg.conf file which includes stuff like getting
my extra mouse buttons to work and more screen resolution options.

I am also using the nvidia-glx package (9746) which now doesn't break X
windows with each kernel upgrade and have beryl working great and fast with
it. Still lots of Feisty beta problems with Nvidia being thrown around on
the forums, which just makes me want to bite the bullet and wait for stable
release.

The itch to upgrade doesn't go away though....

Regards
Colin "Falchion"
