<p>Nish,</p>
<p>The problem with Ask Ubuntu is that tags need to be specific and
useful to identify a question. The rules of a StackExchange site
don't necessarily match what the Ubuntu triage rules are.</p>
<p>We already have a tag for "Server" -
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://askubuntu.com/questions/tagged/server">https://askubuntu.com/questions/tagged/server</a> - which would be
regarding a server. The other problem is, almost every issue
reported under the 'server' tag isn't necessarily server-specific,
and many server-related questions don't have that tag on them even
though they'd be server related.</p>
<p>A second consideration is this question: "Are we going to
actively review questions as part of Server Team duties, both
hired (read: Canonical) and volunteer?" I'm fairly certain I know
the answer to the first one of these, and the second one of these
is a "If you are going to volunteer, then just read the site."</p>
<p>Bugs filed on Ask Ubuntu get squished by me and the community as
"File an actual bug".</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>So I'm going to need clarification on the thoughts behind this
idea, before I can give a better answer.</p>

In the meeting this week, the above topic was brought up although you
weren't available.
Specifically, the question is if it makes sense to add a tag
('server'?') to AU questions specific to server.
I see some followon discussion on IRC, but it probably deserves to be on the ML.
Thanks,
Nish
P.S. I've removed the agenda item for now.
