This is very likely a bug introduced by an upstream CVE fix, that got
backported to Ubuntu.  The reporter did some triage himself and filed an
upstream bug, which is great.  Upstream is working on the fix, and
should have something soon.  Meanwhile, let's keep an eye on this.

Seems to be hardware-specific, but I requested more info from the
reporter.  Incomplete for now.

It seems like this one is still waiting on someone with enough time to
work on it.  I didn't have anything meaningful to add to the discussion,
so I'm just mentioning it here because it's been 60 days since the last
interaction on the bug.
