Greetings,

I'm trying to create a custom kernel on my ubuntu server 21.10
I'm following this https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel howto.
I'm trying build the kernel in a tmpfs mount to reduce writing to the hdd however I'm up to 12GB and still getting no space left error.
I assume that I can reduce the size consumption with either remmving kernel config or building only the arch I need.
tried the former but the build failed in the check-config stage.
I've found references for the latter online but the cmd doesn't work.

how can I reduce the kernel building size?

Thanks,
Dagg
