I have something similar, but different:
https://git.launchpad.net/~racb/+git/tools/tree/lxd-ssh

Differences:

No ssh host key spam as it automatically syncs ~/.ssh/known_hosts with
the container's public keys.

Doesn't need/rely on networking - it uses lxc exec internally.
