There  are cyber  crime laws, but also it's an official report - rather than  just a story.  I read the update, I didn't  expect it to turn out so well. I was expecting denials, drama etc, hence why I recommended getting a paper  trail. Some evidence to show that  they took  those  actions seriously  rather than  'just making up a story'.  


I still think there should be  an official record. Or they can get  some omission in writing and  run  it by  a lawyer so if things do go south they are covered. Those photos could still turn up somewhere.  

I  would want a record  of  him admitting to the theft -   sms, email, etc.  Even a  phone call that is recorded  -  of course in the US  (I'm guessing this  is in the  US) , in  some states this is illegal  so a google first would be best.
