how to mount a disk in Ubuntu Virtual Machine on Win7

Hello,
The second HDD comes from a NAS which stopped working. FS on HDD is ext4. windows is not showing the disk, so i guess it has no control over it.
I want to mount the disk on ubuntu VM running on this win7 machine and transfer data. this is what is visible right now... (sda is the VMware disk). pl give suggestions.
