I understand the pressure it puts on the team resources but moving
openjdk7 to universe would (IMHO) essentially kill Java on Ubuntu.
Here, we have a policy to stick to packages from main only as you guys
provide real good support on those!

I advocate for OpenJDK because I know it will be supported well.

Using Oracle tarballs is cumbersome and doesn't integrate well with the
rest of the platform. I really appreciate being able to just run apt-get
to keep everything up to date.
