Hi Robie,

Being affected by https://launchpad.net/bugs/1031680, I noticed your
post here and your various proposals. FYI, if re-licensing my thin
wrapper around /usr/lib/update-notifier/apt-check makes it easier to
integrate either upstream or in Ubuntu/Debian let me know.
