I maintain about a dozen machines, Cfengine and Pupet were overkill.
A while ago I was using some custom scripts, but now I use apt-dater.
I haven't run 8.04/hardy in a while... For the 8.04 machines you will
likely need the newer packages not in the standard hardy repositories.
