Not able to boot a software raid installation - Ubuntu 10.04.1 i386

I had that same problem, and then I did the following.
I created a partition with 1MB on the end of each HD that it were gonna be
in raid, and kept on partitioning, when  I finished my partitioning I
removed each partitions of 1MB that I've created in the end of each HD.
