Apparently you also have vmware installed?  The first few google hits
searching for 'vmnet1' claim vmware workstation creates those.  I've
not seen a libvirt system create those myself.

I don't without googling know the answers to your other questions,
but would recommend uninstalling vmware first (since its networking
magic may affect other system networking), and if you still have
problems please give us all 'iptables -A', 'netstat -nr', 'brctl show',
'ip link show' and 'ifconfig -a' output.
