Cause you are booting old kernel for which there are no modules on the 
Net any more. Just refresh your /var/lib/tftpboot:

lftp -c "open 
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/; 
mirror"
