This question is not a simple one and likely going to frustrate you and
the list long before you have resolved all the issues you raise.
I don't want to steer you away from here because you've taken the time
to find the server team and ask a (semi-)relevant question, so instead,
what I'm going to suggest is that you start by reading the server guide.
That will provide you with some of the answers you're seeking - though
it will no doubt raise others.
* https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/serverguide/C/index.html
After you've read that, the next step is to break-up your problem into
little steps and resolve each of them. With the little information
you've provided, I suggest:
* Actual wiring, how are things really hooked up - that is, there is
talk about a switch, but also wireless - this needs to be clear
before anything else.
* IP connectivity from the server to the net.
* IP connectivity from a client to the server.
* IP connectivity from a client to the net.
* Web Proxy
Please reply only to the list as I'm already subscribed.
