Loginprompt shows up before booting is finished in Ubuntu Feisty server

I have installed Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) from server-cd, and when I boot
the loginpromt shows up before the boot process is finished. Just
after "* Loaing ACPI modules...", but before "* Starting ACPI
serices". I have traced it to runlevel 2 (not S)

When the boot is finished the loginprompt does not show up again,
until I hit the enter key.

Anyone know why this happens?
