Shrinking consumed diskspace

Hallo,
looking for a way to shrink the diskspace used by a Ubuntu Server I  
came along the /usr/share/doc. Is there a way to delete these files  
completely with apt-get and/or configure apt not to install  
documentations?

Also other ideas on how the already small fottprint of a  
aserverinstall can be further reduced war wellcome!
