I forgot to mention it, but the plan is to also add instructions for using
Bacula as a backup solution. Also, any other backup applications, like
amanda, are not out of the question.

Do you have any specifics you'd like covered?

That's correct the idea behind the shell script section is to provide a
simple example, not an "enterprise" solution. A way to backup a machine
before reinstalling for instance.
