[Bug 1772337] Re: package mysql-server-5.7 5.7.22-0ubuntu18.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-5.7 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

We believe this installation is heavily modified from the Ubuntu
defaults and that the problem you are experiencing is a result of those
changes. For example, the mysql config file is not /etc/my.cnf, but
/etc/mysql/my.cnf, and so on (there are other changes).

I suggest you revert your changes, or start over from scratch. In the
meantime, this but will be marked as invalid. If you believe what you
have is really a bug, then please change the status back to "new" and
explain why you think that is the case.

Thanks
