Thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu.
You have some errors in your /etc/samba/smb.conf file:
$ testparm ./smb.conf
Load smb config files from ./smb.conf
rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit (16384)
WARNING: The "syslog" option is deprecated
Processing section "[printers]"
Processing section "[print$]"
Processing section "[share]"
Global parameter unix extensions found in service section!
Processing section "[info-install]"
set_variable_helper(y): value is not boolean!
Error loading services.
a) "unix extensions" is a global parameter, but you have it inside a share definition
b) your [info-install] section has an invalid value for the "wide links"
parameter: "y". It should probably be "yes".
After you fix those problems, run these commands to fix the installation
on your system:
sudo apt update
sudo apt -f install
Please let me know how it goes.
