Public bug reported:
default configuration should match the v 2.11 -> 3.0 change:
With the default installation of Postfix 3.0.4 there are 2 warnings:
1)
Mar 25 12:45:50 mail postfix/master[4674]: /etc/postfix/master.cf: line 14: using backwards-compatible default setting chroot=y
2) With all modules:
Mar 25 09:15:16 mail postfix[31185]: warning: smtputf8_enable is true, but EAI support is not compiled in
[additional log entries for all loaded modules]
For the sake of sanity, I suggest the following:
1) in master.cf make the default config with "y" or "n" in the column "chroot" of the default modules
2) either compile smtputf8 into postfix or consider "compatibility_level = 2" and "smtputf8_enable = no"
system used: xenial/x64
